The Helpers Fund's
2011 Annual Holiday Drive

Please take a moment to decide how you would like to
assist someone in the area for this holiday period
,
then make your donation online or by mail.

The social and economic times we are facing concern us all, they have become our priorities, but as we come closer to the year-end holiday period, we tend to push those concerns to the side, put them on hold, and look forward to enjoying the gatherings of family and friends that take place during this period. This year-end period also gives us the opportunity to look forward to those traditions we hold dearest to us. This period gives us a chance to momentarily close the windows to the outside world and surround ourselves with family and friends. But even under the best of these circumstances, we are aware there are people in our community, many whom we know personally, who will be facing other circumstances; circumstances which prevent them from viewing the holiday period with the same warmth and joy we experience.

Once again the Fund will try to lend a helping hand to these individuals and families most in need, and help them through this period. We will sponsor the same programs we have sponsored over the years.

Adopt-A-Family: You may choose to a assist a family with food, clothing, heating assistance and a gift for the younger members of the family, those six-years-old and under. The Fund will make sure your donation goes to one of the families receiving assistance from the Fund during the year. Our priority for each family will be its need for winter clothing, food assistance and heating assistance in that order.

Food Program: If you would like to make a donation to one of the many families the Fund assists during the year, or make a donation to the Food Pantry, which is supervised by the Fund, check this box. If you donate to the Food Pantry please write “Food Pantry” in the memo portion of your check. The Fund will make sure your donation is directed to the area you have chosen.

Winter Clothing: If wish to make a donation for winter clothing for an adult or a child, check this box. The Fund will use your donation for the individual or family members based upon their needs. Coats and jackets will be the first priority. Based upon existing funds, additional clothing will be purchased.

You may also designate your donation as “discretionary,” leaving the Fund to use the donation in areas it considers the most critical to the individual or family.

Please take a moment to decide how you would like to assist someone in the area for this holiday period. Your donation, regardless of which program(s) you choose, is totally tax-deductible under the Internal Revenue’s 501(c)3 regulations.

If you would like to include a message with any gift or gifts your donation provides, please fill in the appropriate section of the form.

Thank you for your support!
